I am feeling guilty of missing out on the Tokyo Auto Salon 2008 whilst mentioning about the Detroit Auto and the Brussels International Motor Show. The Tokyo Salon too is an important venue for the Auto Aficionados this winter and the introduction of models like the Honda Civic type-R Modulo Racetrack at this venue speaks itself about the stature of the event.
We sure cannot miss out on a Japanese event anymore when the biggest carmaker in the world hails from this place. Civic as it is, is a very popular name throughout the world so when it comes to talking about a mule from the same family, missing out, goes out of question.
The Honda Civic Type-R Modulo Racetrack is a street-legal, track ready version of the Type-R Honda Civic. Since it comes in the racing trim, a lot of body weight has obviously been sacrificed with the help of Carbon Fibre usage in the door panels and elsewhere.
Normal seats make way for the racing type Recaro bucket seats that is another attempt to cut down on the cars bulk. Electronically controlled adjustable dampers also creep in to the car to give it a complete road-race car feel.
