Honda Motor Co. will launch its low-cost Fit subcompact hybrid car next year. The model will cost around $11,790 more than the gasoline-only version, but still it’ll be the world’s first hybrid to cost less than 2 million yen ($16,840). The gasoline-electric car will go for limited production later this year and will hit the markets in April 2007. Honda’s Fit is already the top selling model in Japan and may melt down the competitors down in the United States owing to its low price.
