This new technology from BMW is definitely the talk of the town...world, actually! It really looks revolutionary...parking in a tight space can be irksome and being able to do the same outside the car with the help of a remote control-boy, can life get any simpler than this!



Impressed and badly want to know the technicalities? Here it is...



First, a reflective lens is placed against the wall at the head of the parking space. To be as accurate as possible, the miniature video camera on the car’s front windshield measures the distance and angle of the car relative to the lens. Also, to prevent your car from bumping into another, the sensor regulates that by maintaining a minimum distance of about 8 inches to the left and right sides of the car. In addition to that, it is the car that activates the gas pedal itself turning the steering wheel accordingly to get on the right track.
