For ages I believed that progressive technology was supposed to help simplify our life. Of course I now know that technology is just another synonym for finding ways to complicate an erstwhile simpler process. Don’t believe me? Then have a look at this award-winning electric power bicycle design concept created by Neil Foley that is also driven by human power. You say you already own a bike? Well, I bet you don’t own one with a monocoque that can be collapsed 50% of its original size to make it more, er, bicycle-like! You see the whole logic behind this invention or re-invention is to make long distance travel more feasible. Of course that would mean result in one hell of a leg cramp and some very sore muscles all over you, but hey, this is just a design concept, and design concepts can make any crappy idea look brilliant now can’t they?
