Now I really do not expect you to know this nor do I expect you to remember this in any way, but it was around a couple of months back that I was so haunted by the Hummer that it almost felt as if a Hummer curse was put on me as each and every day we had something to write about either some new ugly modification of a Hummer or just how bad it actually is for the planet. It has been a long time since and now the Hummer is back. Not to say that the gasoline guzzling monster was ever out of the news but just the sheer fact that I was out of this place for a while.

This piece of news though is about the unveiling of the brand new Hummer H3T concept and it just makes me wonder if the planet really needs another Hummer to be bestowed upon it. The dynamic H3T is a midsize truck that infuses all of Hummer’s military-derived DNA into an efficient, refined package and carves a new niche in the midsize truck market. The makers introduced the ruggedly refined H3T concept vehicle at the 2004 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, providing a glimpse at a growing family of expressive, versatile vehicles.

The new H3T still seems pretty fine apart from all the fuel it ends up drinking. The pickup box incorporates side-access doors, along with drop-down assist steps that also double as weather-tight storage compartments. The H3T’s unique tailgate forms an unbroken load surface when down, contributing to the H3T’s versatility. Its wheels-at-the-corners stance, along with 34-inch-tall tires and 11.5 inches of ground clearance, gives the H3T a 51-degree approach angle and a 50-degree departure angle - critical measures on Hummer’s internal “off-road performance metric” of capabilities.

It seems that we have another very attractive vehicle in the form of H3T and only time will tell if it will be given a bit more affection than the ones that came before it by all those who care for the planet. For the Auto lover though, the H3T is a pretty good buy if you can actually feed it!

I love Hummer since then but I got this problem about how hungry it is for gasoline. I love the bulkiness and the interiors of it. And I’m really in love with this H3T, hope I can afford to have this already and soon. But I got this Auto Motto that if I can’t have it, at least I can drive and see it real.
I love the Hummer but waaaaaay too costly. Very well built, sturdy, many features, leather seats, almost sound proof.
This is a great automobile to have. I had been a long time Hummer fan. However, this is not a vehicle for the meek or the poor. It is a real fuel guzzler and it is way, way costly for an average person. I like this design, quite cool.
You people are going to hell. Global warming and you are still in love with gas guzzlers. :P
Anyhow I’m sure to follow you all. I’m completely blown away by this concept. What slick interiors. And yes the vehicle is all rugged and manly.
I think most of us are anyway going to Hell and that may not really be influenced too much by the love or hate towards the Hummer :)
But I must admit that I’m a bit surprised with the love for Hummer and while I can understand it totally, I think it is neither a smart economic or ecological choice. If you can afford it, then good for you!!
Also add to that the fact that Hummer is a great vehicle to serve the Army and its improved and function-specific versions are doing well with the Army... But not everyone has the funding the army have :)
