
It seems that Hyundai has lately let loose the very first shots of the new Genesis concept that in intended to debut at this year’s New York auto show. The rear-wheel-drive sedan concept vehicle will be carrying a price tag that will read ’starting well under $30,000.”
The release says:
The Genesis concept is the first preview of the “future architecture and design of a rear-wheel drive premium sports sedan scheduled to grace the Hyundai lineup in 2008.

The innards of the genesis will boast an all-new “Tau” V8 engine delivering over 300 HP, which will get the vehicle to 60 mph in less than six seconds with a top speed of 130 mph. Well, the hybrid versions are also hinted.

The interiors will come stuffed with gizmos and technologies such as high-intensity discharge headlamps, Bluetooth, HD Radio, active cruise control, and a navigation system.
With eight airbags in Genesis’s kitty, Hyundai claims it to be having better body rigidity than the BMW 5-Series and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

The Genesis concept looks like it has a great design and engine. Those are great specs for a car and I can expect a lot from Lexus.
