Hyundai will be showing its teeth to the European auto makers by building a third of a million cars per year in the Czech Republic. A huge plant will be established in the Czech Republic by the South Korean manufacturer costing £700m and employing 3000 people. The plant is expected to manufacture around 300,000 cars per year starting from 2008.
By inviting Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 and Peugeot107 superminis in the country the Czechs are fueling competition in Europe.
Hyundai too is following an aggressive strategy by spreading its tentacles and shifting its base from South Korean to India and research and development at Russelsheim, Germany.
