Amidst all the financial impropriety allegations, Hyundai is not willing to give in and will be launching the new Elantra Sedan at the Busan Automobile Show tomorrow. The new Elantra is based on NF Sonata of 2004 but is much safer as it comes ready with front, side and roof air bags. But Hyundai Motor Vice Chairman Kim Dong-jin will not be present there to promote the car. But due to its good built the car is projected to compete directly with Toyota Motor Corp.’s Corolla and Honda Motor Co.’s Civic models in the United States market once it is marketed by fall.

The show will also see Japan’s Toyota Motor unveiling its Lexus RX400h hybrid car which is fuelled both by gasoline and electricity. Kia Motors Corp. and GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. will also showcase their hydrogen-fueled cars, organizers.

Visitors to the show can expect almost 170 companies, including 22 foreign carmakers and auto parts manufacturers there.
