For decades the Germans have ruled the high performance luxury sedans segment, no offences, for automakers of the likes of Mercedes and BMW deserve to be at that pinnacle, but, what’s new here is an effort from a Japanese automaker to challenge that and we here at automotto appreciate it.
Hyundai has named their highly anticipated luxury sports sedan, Genesis, as they made public the emblem and a few specs about the upcoming road scorcher. This can be simultaneously considered as Hyundai’s effort to compete at the very highest level of this business.
The emblem is a Genesis Logo which is embed in a black hexagonal shield cased by a pair of wings, which symbolize the spirit of flight and the thought of flying above everyone.
The top-end luxury car will feature a Tau-V8 engine capable of producing 375hp. These 375 horses will be delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. Hyundai’s V6 lambda engines will also feature in the cars’ 3.3 and 3.8 litre editions.
Along with these engine offerings, Hyundai is keen to introduce numerous technical innovations to ensure that excellence prevails from purchase to delivery and after-sales service.
