With so many child casualties in car accidents NTT Data (Nissan Motor Company’s communications offshoot) have successfully tested a ‘i-safety’ system to tackle such incidents.



The device’s ‘Child arrival or departure notification’ service warns drivers whenever a child is in close proximity to his car. The device works by picking up signals from lookout post which can read children’s presence with the help of tags worn by them. ‘Children nearby, please be careful’ notification from the device would induce the driver to slow down avoiding any collision with a child.



The device when tested also proved very useful to parents who can now be informed about their child’s whereabouts.
