new-traffic-simulators-from-ibm_6iLYM_5965

The growing issue of traffic is a major concern of many countries. This has led to take the help of high-end technology to create an atmosphere where traffic issues are sorted efficiently. To give this endeavor some lending hand, IBM Japan Ltd along with Kyoto University have developed a cutting edge technology that will help the traffic authorities in major metropolitan cities to deal with the imminent problems. Two multi-agent simulation environment and traffic simulator called IBM Zonal Agent-based Simulation Environmental and IBM Mega Traffic Simulator are on the job. The behavior of various vehicles and road networks along with traffic regulations can be monitored with the traffic stimulator. This technology can be used to fetch million units of vehicle information and help in stimulating traffic situation as well.

The stimulation can be based on traffic rules and different scenarios as per the convenience of traffic authorities to help sole the traffic flows in chosen areas. In large-scale metropolitan centers, various different kinds of drivers and vehicles interact with each other creating a complicated traffic situation. It becomes very difficult to diversify the traffic to different less affected areas in time of need to solve the problems. These new technologies are to be used to in Tokyo metropolitan area.

A pilot program is already installed in the route between the area between Shijo Kawaramachi and Shijo Karasuma area in Tokyo city. The system is said to have given relatively pleasing statistics of carrying out smother traffic operations.
Hope that such traffic stimulators help us overcome the heavy traffic jams and other related issues in overly populated countries as well.
