Jaguar may have revived the S-Type name 36 years down the line back in the year 2000 when the Jaguar S-type came into fray but they are definitely not in the same redemption mood this time around. The mid-size luxury saloon’s upcoming sequel will rather be christened Jaguar XF as mentioned by Jaguar chief Bibiana Boerio.
She simultaneously mentioned that the XF would
challenge people to think again about Jaguar as daring and different.
With the XJ and XK names already sharing a dubbing scheme the christening, XF creates a sense of continuity in the Jaguar Line-up. It has been reported that the XF model will be structured out of steel rather than aluminum as Jaguar plans to bring the XF model into the market more rapidly, the former exercise being a time-consuming one.
The S-type was a competitor to the BMW 5 Series, Lexus GS and Mercedes-Benz E-Class thus we would be dreadfully waiting for this one as it would definitely swell the antagonism level in the mid-size luxury saloon market. The Desert Rose Music Video still makes people curious about the car being driven by Sting, here’s hoping that the XF also creates a similar level of optimistic Hysteria.
