We’ve been using cattle dung to stir up the gas and now the scientists in Japan are out with a way to make gasoline out of it.

Sakae Shibusawa, an agriculture engineering professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology and brain child of the concept, claims to have extracted.042 ounces of gasoline from 3.5 ounces of cow dung by adding metal catalyst and applying 30-atmosphere of pressure high pressure and 300 degrees Celsius (572 Fahrenheit) of heat.

Shibusawa said:

“The new technology will be a boon for livestock breeders to reduce the burden of disposing of large amounts of waste’.
The research team refused to disclose the secret formula and is doing further experimentation on it in order to make it available for commercial use as soon as possible.
