To make maximum benefit out of India’s expanding light commercial vehicle market, big foreign companies like Nissan, Hino, and the Italian Iveco would soon be coming here.
Nissan holds 45% of the global Light Commercial Vehicle market. Upon entering, the company will customize the models to suit Indian needs. The company too has bigger plans beyond this sector and would leave no stone unturned in all of India’s vehicle markets.
Hino, one of the biggest names in medium heavy commercial vehicle manufacturers in Japan has plans too, to reach the Indian mainland. This truck maker is already well-known in India for providing engine technology to Ashok Leyland.
From the European shores, we will be expecting the Italian truck maker, Iveco. The company recently left Ashok Leyland in July. It is already in the talks with few suppliers for future partnership. Upon entering, there is a possibility that it would join hands with Tata Motors, the commercial vehicle arm of Fiat Motors.
