The Japanese are known for innovative as well as unique technology. And now, a wooden car has been manufactured in Japan. The car can go to speeds of 90kmph, weighs nearly 390kg and costs roughly $32,500.

So it’s lightweight when compared to other cars and completely bio-degradable (a plus point for environment friendliness), but wood costs trees (subtract the environment friendliness). Little chances that it will ever hit the road though. Maybe the manufacturer should try his hand at a hybrid version!
Its not just the cars that come with a wooden make, the bikes aren’t far behind. Here’s the Holzmotorrad, the wooden bike.

Wonder if the Sultan of Brunei has an eye for these wooden automotive geniuses!
