kawasaki synergy concept

The Kawasaki Synergy concept from designer Piers Prendergast is an environment friendly, zero-emission bike running on hydrogen fuel cells. As most of the futuristic bike concepts go these days, this one is hubless too. The bodywork though, is more like a sports bike; it is dynamic and the shape follows lines and angles of the bodywork.

The rim mount of the bike attaches to the fixed inner rim of the wheels. When powered, an electromagnet in the attachment comes into action, and spins the magnetic track located in the outer, movable rim; putting the bike into motion. Compressed hydrogen cylinders are placed where the fuel tank of common bikes would be placed. The 5kW fuel cell in the bike should be enough to generate performance equivalent to 125cc/250cc sports bikes. Travelling range for the bike will be near the 150miles mark.
