
The green Cee’d concept that Kia displayed at Frankfurt, is all set go into production. The car will go into production in 2008 and will reach markets in early 2009.
The car is powered by a 1.6L CRDi engine standard on the Cee’d, greater fuel economy has been brought about by lowering the chassis, improving aerodynamics to reduce air drag by as much as eleven percent. An ISG (Idle Stop&Go) helps save fuel and provide regenerative braking.
Addition of an optimum gear shifter aids the driver to change gears at the right time, thus saving on fuel. The eco_cee’d runs 100 km on merely 3.9liters of fuel and while exhaling only 104 grams of carbon dioxide every kilometer.
