It went missing at the Geneva fest, but this time around, I was anticipating it at the New York Venture with prying eyes but that was not to be as it yet again coned the best of speculators.
To end the entire muse on, the Gallardo Superleggera did have an expected American unveiling in a rather unexpected manner. Away from the limelight in New York, Superleggera was unveiled at a VIP gathering organized by the Thurman County ... Oops the Lamborghini of Orange County a proud dealer that sold 15% of the total Lamborghini’s sold in the US last year.
Uncharacteristically though the Superleggera didn’t have the Lambo. window sticker( image ) and its black side strip didn’t impress most of the spectators but few other facets like the unpainted carbon fiber rear deck lid and the optional rear spoiler made up for those minor glooms .
Only 350 of these pacesetters will be produced and sadly, for few of you all of them have been called for but you can still enjoy them flying around you in the streets, as they are 200 pounds lighter than the conventional ones coupled with a sturdier engine displacement.
All said and done, but the Makers of Lamborghini could have chosen a better means of unveiling this one which certainly disappointed me for otherwise I would have jotted down the specifications anon but for that formal announcement of its maiden American appearance . Definitely not an impressive debut, for a more than impressive car.
