Three thousand isn’t a large number of vehicles to be sold, but it gains importance when the vehicle is the powerful bull, Murcielago. Lamborghini Murcielago has sold more than 3,000 units since it was replaced in 2002, replacing the Diablo. Initially introduced with a 6.2-L V12 that accelerated from 0 to 62mph in 3.8 seconds, the supercar’s engine went through another improvement to a 6.5-L V12 that zapped to 62mph in 3.4 seconds.
The unit carrying the milestone number is going to be the pride and joy of a happy customer in the USA. Colored in Telesto Grey, the Murcielago LP640 gets special treatment from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam programme to celebrate its special status. Base color for the interior will be black with custom orange stitching.
