Retro design is not what we are here for. So we won’t do the Miura, even as a limited edition
This announcement from the CEO clearly indicates Lamborghinis intent to work on futuristic concepts. The above statement from the CEO is heartbreaking news for Retro Lamborghini Miura fans that had started hoping to see a road-going version of the concept Miura unveiled in January, at the Detroit Auto Show.
The CEO had built hopes in Detroit, as he himself mentioned that the Miura ‘could’ be produced as a limited edition sedan, but this fresh statement from him contravened all speculations.
Lamborghini also has no plans to use old names for their latest cars. Winkelmann mentioned that they ‘could’ build the next editions for the Espada or LM002(both pictured above) but the names will be different.
