Being an Indian, it sure is exciting reading about the launch of ‘Gallardo’ and ‘Murcielago‘ here last Friday. With the continued progress of our economy and infrastructure, our country is welcoming major international carmakers that once did not even look to India as a possible business partners.
Lamborghini president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann told Press Trust of India that the company has already sold six cars in India and delivered two. The CEO has full faith that his cars would do well in India; he intends to produce 10 pieces by this year’s end.
The CEO who sees a fertile market in India shares:
We come to India not by chance but with a plan. The Indian economy is growing and so is the list billionaires and millionaires, which makes it an attractive and important market for us.
Winkelmann hopes to sell around 50-60 cars per year in the country and I am certain he will be selling much more.
