UK company DAC-Tek has given power to the Lambretta scooters; power much more than they ever had during their heydays. They have replaced the scooter’s stock 150cc 9bhp engine with a more powerful two-stroke 250cc 45bhp motor from KTM. Chassis of the scooter stays stock, but the modifications have brought changes to the wheels, tires, brakes and modifications to the 4-speed gearbox of the scooter. The powered up Lambretta sells for £10,000 (US$16,000).
