laminar concept car

The Laminar concept car from designer Daniel Fitzgerald is a futuristic concept for the year 2020 filled with a number of tech goodies. The highpoint of the design is aerodynamic efficiency, which can be adjusted to the driver’s needs. Laminar’s front wing can go from being a flat parallel to a high 45 degree angle, thus creating sufficient downforce for cornering.

Gadget goodness in the car includes panoramic rear view camera, automated scissor doors with sonar height detection, and side door touch panels for the concept’s systems. Designed for a family of three, the concept has three seats, with the driver’s seat placed centrally. Communication with the passengers is made simpler and more convenient with the use of passenger mirrors that allow the driver to communicate without having to take eyes off the road. The Laminar electric car concept was an entry in the Peugeot design contest 2006.
