
Its shorter looks meaner and by just looking at this car it gives the feel that it means business on the road. The wait was long and tiring but Mitsubishi finally unveiled the Lancer Evo-X in the Detroit Motor Show but the car will finally hit the roads only in 2008.
Apart form the freshen up look good design what will attract you most will be the nose that has two huge scoops. Pop up the hood and you will find an all aluminum turbocharged two liter MIVEC monster that will respond to the slightest pressure on the accelerator giving you what company claims 0 to 100Km/h in under 4.5 seconds.
The Evo-X is 1.5 cm shorter than its ancestors but is wider and taller by 5.8cm and 2.5cm. The wheel base is also longer by 3.5cm and this ones also heavy by 32 Kg.
With the fresh engine Mitsubishi has also tinkered with the gear box as this one will have Rally-style gear box with semi auto six speed paddle shift or five speed manual one.
Lancer sedan though is coming in March will be the first vehicle to have variable transmission and conforms to the companies Project Global platform.
