Land Rover is continuing its sales offensive with record sales for the third consecutive year. But this time, it is special. For the first time in its history, the brand has gone past the 200,000 sales mark. 205,717 Land Rovers were sold worldwide by the end of November, an increase of 27% over the same month last year.
Land Rover and Jaguar are in the process of being sold by parent company Ford. Though Rover is posting good results, Jaguar’s performance has not been encouraging. Announcement of a deal is expected to come soon, the potential bidders are India’s Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and private equity firm One Equity Partners.
