Land Rovers have always been a steed of choice for intrepid off-roaders across the planet. Though it has been frequently updated with changes to the interiors and the powertrain, it’s exteriors have for long have gotten by with minor changes. To spice things up, Land Rover commissioned a design firm called the Concept Group International and the results have been more than just impressive but sadly devoid of the Land Rover character. The Land Rover now sits in a very bling looking design that is a little reminiscent of Toyota’s Prado or for that matter even Honda’s soft roader, the CR-V. Though this might be welcomed by many who were bored with the staid, breadbox looks of the previous Land Rovers, I definitely think that this design robs the legendary mud plugger with much of it’s character.

The interiors too see some blinging up with lots of a leather, wood and aluminium lining the dashboard. The seats too look very comfy with all the leather treatment and the interiors have plenty of futuristic touches to make it an almost unrecognizable car when compared with the older version of the Land Rover. So much so for a car that was and is meant to get down and dirty and transport you across the most demanding outdoors. Veteran Land Rover enthusiasts will most probably crinkle up their noses at the sight of the Land Rover LRX G4 but then again, change is universal and all embracing, even if the change in question is the legendary Land Rover!
