On first glance, the LEIBA Classic will probably be mistaken for a motorcycle sidecar that has somehow come off the main motorcycle simply because it looks like one. Actually, the LEIBA is a pedal powered enclosed vehicle that has been designed to transport it’s single occupant primarily across city streets in relative safety. The diminutive LEIBA will most definitely be a compact, handy tool to cut across the traffic infested urban streets, but this size is a little worrying as the three wheeled LEIBA could easily be mistaken to be an empty sidecar or worse could go unspotted by heavy vehicles.

So it needs to be robustly built to counter these threats for which it’s makers have given it a cabin made of fibre reinforced plastic. The steering is via a joystick in the single seat cabin. To get going, the rider will pedal the LEIBA which fortunately comes with a number of gear ratios to make pedalling this contraption a little easier. For all the lazy bums out there, an electric motor too can be fitted onto the LEIBA which will make it a smart little tool to scratch around urban streets. What is not very impressive is the high price tag of 4909 Euros for the base version of the LEIBA Classic which makes it a little too expensive for a pedal powered vehicle.
