lexus lfa new king of nurburgring
Finally we know someone who has put the Porsche pride on the Nordschleife to shame. All that bragging about the 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 as the ‘King of the Ring’ record holder can now go take a hike for it’s a mule which has beaten the record.

The 2008 GT2 earlier recorded 7 minutes and 32 seconds around the ring and that too the car was driven by Walter Rohrl a famous name from the WRC and a Porsche test driver, a clear indication that the car couldn’t have done better under any circumstance. For the odds, the Lexus LF-A mule didn’t even have a revered driver, yet became the new ‘King of the Ring’.

The mule recorded a lap time of 7 minutes and 24 seconds, muscling past the previous king by a thumping 8 seconds. The word shame was picked up in the initial lines because when the German car did it, a lot of hue and cry was raised and get mauled by a tester car is what was denting for the GT2 repute hence there wasn’t an option but to have that word jotted.

The mule to set the record was powered by a 4.8L V10 engine capable of producing 552bhp at 9,000 rpm. The car tops it out at 210mph. Don’t have anything else to conclude at the end but appreciation for the mule and a definite provocation that Lexus LF-A production version would be an out and out winner.
