British automaker Morgan Motors has teamed up with QientiQ, Cranfield & Oxford universities, BOC and OSCar for a project called LifeCar to make first of its kind eco-friendly sports car.

The project started in the year 2005 and is partly funded by the Department for Trade and Industry. LifeCar is based on the aerodynamic styling of the Morgan Aero Eight and its fuel cell is made by QinetiQ. It is expected to take vehicle power technology to the ‘next level’.

It will be fueled by a cell which converts hydrogen and oxygen into electricity releasing water vapor. It is a green and economic vehicle which will utilize ultracapacitors for electricity storage and drive out quick power burst. The project aspires to low down the cost for the fuel cell and maximize its range for at least 200 miles.

The vehicle is expected to be launched in Geneva next march till then you can steal a look from the pictures.
