Critics have not been kind to the design of the Lexus IS-F, with some deciding to call its ‘bulbous nose downright ugly’. Lexus, however, is more interested in creating its entity as a premium car manufacturer.
Toyota design chief Wahei Hira is intent at creating a ‘unique feel’ for all F-series models. The F-lineup from Lexus is aimed at rivals like M-series from BMW and the AMG badge of Daimler, to this end, Lexus may be more aggressive in designing its cars.
The Lexus IS-F is powered by a 5.0L V8 that 417hp and 371 lb-ft of torque. The car is likely to make a US debut in February.
