Lockheed Martin and Gibbs Technologies have teamed up to develop a crop of high-speed amphibious vehicles for military use. There are obvious military advantages of using amphibious vehicles, and Gibbs has the technology to make vehicles move at 45mph on water, 100 mph on land, and complete the transition from water to land in just 5 seconds.

The companies will build three concept vehicles, all differing in size and speed. These vehicles will be able to be fitted with ammunition as required by the mission, command and control, and network ability for sharing information.
