In a move that will make the purists somewhat happier, Lotus has announced a Purist edition. Lotus is about the joy of driving, and the Purist edition banks upon the same part, shedding some weight to get better. It’s based on the Elise, and with the changes done, it costs $44,920; that’s about $3000 less from the standard Elise. It will be available in three colors: Ardent Red, Monaco White and Saffron Yellow. It’s more of a lighter sibling to the Elise, than a particularly stripped down model.
