After a week full of futuristic green cars, here’s something to jot us back down. The Lotus Europa i6 mid-engined sports car concept with power to the rear wheels. Although still just a concept and only in the computer or on paper, designer Idries Noah says the car (weighing in at just about 2,030 lbs) will be powered by a 2.0-litre supercharged six-cylinder inline engine. But despite the weight and the power-supply, Noah gave a rather mediocre statistic of the performance; expected 0-60mph in 7 seconds with a top speed of 165mph (265kmh).

However, outside the car is a real stunner. I can just imagine it in an AXE commercial. The car’s mid-section borrows a bit from Koenigsegg but the front and rear quarters are a mix of classic Europa and Elite styling and latest designs.

But in my opinion, there’s something more intriguing in the styling; the front half screams out muscle, whilst the rear flashes exotic. The car really is a masterpiece.
