Lotus has unveiled the track-only 2-Eleven GT4 that will be available next year. To be ideal on the track, this racer gets an aerodynamic composite body, a new front splitter, full roll cage and carbon fiber racing seats. All this of course doesn’t mean that the power department has been left to fend for itself. The engine management has been remapped, a more powerful supercharger added and the exhaust and induction systems have been tweaked.
The engine now provides 266bhp of power with 247Nm of torque, which is transmitted to the tarmac via a six-speed sequential transmission. The car has been priced at £78,255 with deliveries beginning in March 2009.
