This accident not only qualifies as the worst in the world, it also topples last years Buggati slipover as the most expensive in the world with the only difference being that of the number of vehicles involved. I don’t say it was a monumental spectacle but it would have been an indefinable experience to be at that site and see 227 cars and dozen buses colliding together. All this happened on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway and it is reported that 3 people lost their lives in the tragedy, whilst 6 others are still critical. Another 347 of them have been injured.

methinks the monumental spectacle thingy would have been very apt,.,.ofcourse on a lighter note though.,.,that is one hell of a massive pile up,.,.thankfully we don’t yet have that many cars here in India
Wat the... I like it when cars get smashed up for good. Of course no one ought to get hurt. This pileup is a gruesome spectacle, having taken a toll on humans’ life. Fog seems a lame excuse for such a huge pileup. Doubtless there were some drunks speeding merrily along.
I agree with Gagan , fog seems to be a lame excuse indeed, must have been a jing-bang of sloshed drivers for we have conditions worser than this in Delhi and if that was the case, till now, the entire cars of Delhi would have been in the junkyard.
