
Mazda has unveiled the new Mazda2 (Demio in Japan) at the 2007 Guangzhou Motor Show. Mazda’s new car is targeted at customers in the B-car segment and with this launch, the company will complete its product launches for the Chinese B, C and CD segments.
Engine options are likely to remain the same as the hatchback, that means an entry level 1.3L and two options in 1.5L engines, all petrol. The car will go on sale in January next year. Mazda is also working to increase the number of dealerships in China and is aiming at 300 dealers by 2010, up from the current 104 dealerships.
