
Japan is hot nowadays with arrival of new models. The Nissan GT-R is available for pre-orders, Toyota released its ‘only for Japan’ Mark X Zio, Mitsubishi’s Lancer Evolution X has gone into sale today and so has Mazda’s Prestige Edition Roadster, another ‘only for Japan’ model.
The two-seat open-top sportscar, known to the world as Mazda MX-5 has received premium upgrades to qualify it as the Prestige Edition Roadster. Heated bucket seats, black leather upholstery, 17-inch aluminium alloys by BBS Japan Co. Ltd. and front fog lights have all found their way into this Roadster.
Prestige Edition Roadster is based on Mazda’s premium Roadster RS RHT and Roadster VS RHT. The vehicle with six-speed manual transmission costs 2,950,000 yen (US$ 25,627) while the one with six-speed automatic transmission comes for 3,050,000 yen (US$ 26,500).
