Mechanic Max Hyde wanted a Mercedes Silver Arrow that he could call his own, but with only a handful of these classics in the world and each costing millions he could not afford one. So, this creative man set out on building one for himself. The base was provided by a Citroen 2CV that cost him £70.
Max Hyde removed the top from the bright red 2CV, keeping other parts intact and set on his mission of transforming the small car into the formidable Silver Arrow. He used steel tubes and aluminium to create a 12-feet long replica of his dream car. This little adventure cost the man £10,000 but gave him a replica of his coveted vehicle, which he calls Max Hyde Motors Mark II.
This replica of course, comes nowhere near the performance of a real Silver Arrow. With a top speed of 90mph, it is no match for the 320hp, eight cylinder engine that topped at 248mph. Built in the ’30s, the Silver Arrow was obviously oblivious to anything resembling fuel efficiency, it did just 3.7 miles per gallon. But Max Hyde’s work is interesting and inspiring to some level, he may find a few buyers for the car but as he says that he has no intentions of selling it.

That’s very unique. Max Hyde creativity is splendid. Just wondering where it is now? The parts of this car reminds me of volkswagen parts, got a little resemblance.
