The best way for an automaker to ensure that his car does not become monotonous and reach a saturation sales position is to give it constant power upgrades. There is a very active section of the society who prefers performance to anything, which makes it all the more important for an automaker to up boost his car with a stronger engine.
The Mercedes CLK 200 Coupe and Cabriolet models can now be ordered with a more powerful engine i.e. the CLK 200 Kompressor. This variant of Mercedes produces 184 horses with an equal amount of Torque. In comparison with the other CLK 200 Variants the Kompressor variant delivers 21 horses and 10 Nm more torque.
A powerful engine signifies better performance thus the Kompressor variant does the 0-62mph sprint in 8.8 seconds as compared to the 9.3 seconds of the antecedent versions. Better acceleration timing means a higher top speed thus this one reaches an improved top speed of 147 miles per hour.
The only thing that remains unaltered is the level of Co2 emissions owing to the fact it is a more powerful engine. This variant does offer a little more but it is priced the same at £29,910 for the Coupe and £33,510 for the Cabriolet.
