If the only thing missing in your in-car infotainment system is a TV-tuner, or if you’d just like to watch some TV on the road, Microtune’s new tuner chip is the thing for you. The MicroTuner MT2067 is a chip that allows clear reception of signal even at speeds as high as 125mph, and supports all worldwide worldwide analog / digital terrestrial standards, so it would work pretty well in any country you choose to drive in.
The chip has entered production and will cost only $7.50 for quantities of 10,000. It already is making its way into automobiles and you can expect the in-car system to throw the frightening daily soaps at you even when you’re on the road, there’s no escape now.
