Keeping an eye over the novel market trends, Mitsubishi has given its big sedan a new impression. Clearly designed to focus sports performance and aggressive styling, the latest form of Mitsubishi’s large sedan is being dubbed as 380 Series III.
Mitsubishi’s new Series III range compromises the new base model SX and the flagship GT-l with its top-end VR-X.
Alongside performance focused package, the signature model comes with a powerful 3.8 liter V6 engine. Delivering 175kW of power and 343Nm of torque, it’s capable of 0-100km/h in 7.6 seconds. Incredibly low on emission, the 380 is the first Australian-built car to meet the rigorous new Euro3 emission standards.
Sports tuned suspension with a strut tower brace is standard across the range. A collective 17-inch alloy wheels and 215/55 R17 tyres gives more precise handling performance. The braking has been upgraded by 294mm front ventilated discs with twin pot callipers and rear 302mm ventilated discs with single pot callipers. Traction control as well as ABS is standard.
A noticeable alteration in the Series III is its upfront bumpers with air dams and a new radiator grille while the top-end features a lattice bumper inserts and fog lamps. The VR-X features a prominent rear wing, five spoke alloy wheels and a power sunroof. The more luxurious GT-l feature a mobile hands-free Bluetooth system, power sunroof, leather seats with driver’s 10-way power adjustment and special eight-spoke 17-inch alloys.
The company claims that the 380 is built without any compromise. Mitsubishi hasn’t left any stone unturned in ensuring that the refurbished models lack in any sense but then what matters is how the customers respond to their call. As of now we can appreciate the efforts and wait to see how many of them manage to make it to the fanatics’ garage.
