Commercial vans with their added payload could serve as a great pollutant beating any medium cars to it. So one way to overcome that is the use of the Modec Vans. Manufactured by Modec, a UK company it runs on electric which can provide a range of more than 100 miles and a top speed of 50 mph even with a load of up to two tonnes. The 70kW motor (102hp) develops 300Nm of torque.



The van was launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, UK, this week. It is powered by a Twin parallel-wired 288-volt Zebra sodium-nickel-chloride battery packs which have life span of around four years (1,000 full charging cycles) which will take 8 hours to charge.
