Tata Motors India has kept the world wondering on what its upcoming $3000 car will be like. Everyone wants to know how a car that comes this cheap and is economical enough for mass production will look like. Tata seems to be on a roll, recently, we heard talks about their air-powered City Cat, and now probably we know more about the $3000 car.
This car is scheduled for a launch in India next year. The company has kept the details close to itself and the world knows little about this car, except the price, which has become a matter of debate and surprise the world over.
Latest reports say the automaker’s small four-door car is likely to be made of plastic! With plastic covering much of the car, it is obvious that it will be a ‘featherweight’. Use of plastic will also reduce costs and since there are no parts to rust out, the car is likely to have a ‘long life’.
Though the company says the car will have a steel body, rumors of a plastic body remain hot. An official name or even a sketch of the car has not yet been released.
About time the company released some more information about this car, it isn’t wise to keep the world waiting...... and guessing.
