It a’int a hybrid, the MP3 is a scooter with three rollers, running on simple gasoline. It is available in two options the 125cc version and the 250 version. The MP3 is a cross between a scooter and a trike.
Designed by the Italian brand Piaggio, the MP3 has two wheels at the front and one at the back. Each front wheel is independently suspended which results in more stability as compared to a normal scooter that tends to loose its balance ,especially on low speeds.
It has a reported top speed of 77 mph , thus putting it up amongst the top ones in its category .the two independently suspended wheels also have two independent disc brakes , which is a must for such a high speed scooter . It has a single cylinder engine just like any other scooter.
This scooter also has a long list of accessories, few of which are; an extra long windscreen, thermal winter developed tires ensuring better stability in winters, battery powered heated leg covers and a set of blue tooth enabled accessories including the helmet.
The MP will be available for sale in Europe and the US by next year with a price tag of 7000 USD... and for people who get scared at the thought of scooter because of the balancing act... here’s the perfect answer from Piaggio, Italy.
