Ford Mustang Convertible has become the first specialty sports car to earn a five-star safety rating in the NCAP tests. The vehicle also earned the highest side-impact performance rating from IIHS.
The 2008 Mustang comes with a number of safety systems for its occupants, there are side air bags, seat mounted thorax side air bags, safety belt pretensions, seat weight and crash severity sensing systems and the now famous Beltminder.
Ratings from the NCAP put a stamp of safety on the popular and nearly iconic range of Mustangs. The 2008 Mustang will come up with more features, in addition to the safety systems to keep hold of the market.
