The Namir hybrid concept built by Italdesign Giugiaro and Frazer-Nash, boasts of some really high performance figures. One of the best part of a concept is that you can actually say “quite a lot” about its performance like a 187mph top speed, 1200 miles range and a 0 to 62mph time of 3.7 seconds. All that comes from a 0.8-l rotary engine and an underfloor battery pack that sends 370hp of power to two electric motors.
The Namir concept is a development on last year’s Quaranta and while its performance figures sound quite good, they actually sound too good to be true. As Jalopnik puts it, “ And in actuality, until we see video of instrumented testing, we’re still going to call this car the world’s fastest vaporware.”
