The much anticipated 2006 British International Motor Show opened in London yesterday. London is delighted to host again one of the greatest auto shows after 30 years gap. The event is currently held at ExCeL London where around 13 global premieres and 20 European and UK launches will be witnessed. If you are crazy about cars then you should head over there-last day is the 30th of this month. You will also be thoroughly entertained not only by cars but also by the concerts that will be held in the evening.



To tempt you further so that you will be driven to go there yourself, I have compiled a list of some of the new cars that has been launched there:







The 4.2-liter V8 supercharged Jaguar XKR with 420 horsepower.







The special edition 400bhp supercharged Jaguar XJR.







The new 2.7 twin-turbo diesel engine Jaguar XJ Long Wheelbase Diesel.







From Volkswagen subsidiary Seat, the 2007 Seat Leon Cupra, with 2.0-litre T FSI powerplant and a 240 horsepower.







The new LR2 Land Rover, a Freelander replacement powered by a 3.2-liter straight six engine offering 230 horsepower.

Highly digitalized new GS 300 LE (Limited Edition) from Lexus.







The new Opel/Vauxhall Corsa from General Motors with choices ranging from three gasoline engines and two common-rail turbo-diesel engines.







The cool looking MX-5 Roadster Coupe/Mazda MX-5 Power Retractable Hardtop from Mazda.







A bio-ethanol powered Ford Focus Coupe-Cabriolet concept with a true CO2 emissions figure of 99.6g/km.
