Dutch auto manufacturer Hansen is in a mood to challenge Spyker as the premier Dutch sports car manufacturer. Hansen has announced the launch of its GT sports car. The car will come in two versions, the GT-R for the track and GT for the road.
The car’s mid-section is a semi-monocoque with integrated roll cage. A combination of aluminium, steel and composite materials is used for lower weight (only 1100kg dryweight) and high torsional stiffness. The body panel is made from carbon and glass fiber reinforced epoxy.
This two seater is powered by a V10, 5000cc engine that loads this car with more than 500 bhp. Its torque will also be above 500Nm. The gearbox is a six-speed manual transmission, and will feature no electronic aids. Yeah, right, this sports car comes with no electronic aids for the driver. The company believes this will give the drivers a nearly uncompromised handling and performance and will recreate the feel of the sports racer of the ’70s. I’ll say the idea of not giving the driver any electronic aid belongs to the same era, the ’70s!

The brake system is non-assisted aluminium alloy clippers and has six pistons in the front and four in the rear. The car was designed by Ernesto Freitas from Portugal. The Hansen sports car is scheduled for a launch this year. The road legal GT will follow next year. It comes with a price tag of €225,000.
With obscure, little known and new auto manufacturers barely out of their infancy manufacturing supercars and racetrack cars, it looks like a free for all scenario.

Nice. Looks like viper in the TV series. but I can’t see myself driving a $225,000 car. Autopartswarehouse knows that.
