A quick look at the image gives an impression of a ceramic car play model; a closer look, however, reveals a new wonderful concept car by Nissan. Effis, with 3+1 seating capacity is actually designed for three but a fourth person can accommodate given the space. Environment does not always ride on cars, but when it does, it does so beautifully in an ultra small, ultra light weight, ultra high efficiency next generation city car.
The rotational instrument panel which attracts and retracts in an arc shape holds cups and other small items. In case of two passengers, the rear seat can be folded to adjust luggage. Third passenger and a fourth one of a small stature can be accommodated in the rear but minus the luggage.
The fuel cell stack, super motor and thin space saving lithium ion battery, neatly hidden under the floor, gives more room and makes the car lighter. The 3 meter minimalist commuter, as it is being called, has a super motor dedicated to front and rear axles, allowing independent control of the four wheels. Extensive use of aluminium and plastic to ensure less weight, the car has one side door on drivers side and two hinged doors on passengers side, providing access to rear seat and also loading and unloading of luggage.
Sounds like a good city car, with loads to offer, but seems it would suffice for a small family only.
