After a long and eager wait, finally Nissan will introduce its highly publicized 2009 Maxima this year. The range of Maxima cars from Nissan was highly popular and widely accepted ever since its inception. Originally named Datsun 810, it was renamed Maxima in 1982 and was later revamped in 2004.
Some of you, who had presumed that Nissan will be unveiling it during the 2008 Detroit Auto Show that commences next week, will have to wait a little longer until the 2008 New York Auto Show. I am very excited about this completely redesigned new car and what additional features/facilities it will offer.
Nissan has been a bit reluctant to disclose any other attributes of the 2009 Maxima. Darryll Harrison, Nissan North America spokesman, was quoted saying,
We’ll show the next Maxima in New York and a couple of other things - but not concepts...
I guess, it is their business strategy to augment people’s curiosity and interest about the newly designed car. This will help them gain positive promotion of the product prior to its worldwide debut soon. It is expected that the brand new Maxima will be highly successful globally.
